Among the topics he closely reports on are developments out of the International Maritime Organization and the European Union, corporate environmental action and performance, zero carbon fuels and technologies, sustainable finance and broader emissions reductions efforts in the maritime industry.

Mr Roger Holm M.Sc. (Econ.) President Marine Power, Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Management of Wärtsilä Corporation.

Mr Holm joined Wärtsilä in 1997 and has held several managerial and Vice President positions within the company both in Services and Marine Businesses, heading e.g. Business Development functions, Seals & Bearings Business and Engine business lines. In addition to those he was also the CIO of Wärtsilä Corporation in years 2006-2008.

In 2015 Mr Holm was appointed President of Marine Solutions heading the entire Marine new build Business globally.

Jacob Sterling

Jacob Sterling is Senior Director, Head Decarbonisation Innovation & Business Development in A.P. Moller-Maersk.

He is leading a team that is responsible for driving Maersk’s innovation and business development efforts related to the ambition of achieving net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. He is also serving as employee elected member to the Board of Directors of A.P. Moller-Maersk.

Jacob has worked in Maersk since 2009 and prior to his current role, he has been had leading roles within product management and sustainability. Before joining Maersk, Jacob worked as Conservation Director in WWF World Wide Fund for Nature, and he holds a master’s degree in biology.

Linda Sigrid Hammer
Principal Consultant
DNV

Linda Hammer is Principal Consultant at DNV working in Maritime Advisory. She leads this year’s Maritime Forecast to 2050 project team, part of DNV’s suite of Energy Transition Outlook reports. In addition, she works on assessment projects with a special focus on decarbonization and the use of alternative fuels.

Linda joined DNV in 2001 as a trainee surveyor. Prior to her current role, she worked on the approval of gas fuelled ships and the assessment of novel designs related to alternative fuels, as well as the development of the regulatory framework for alternative fuels at DNV, IMO and IACS. She holds a master’s degree in marine technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
